I HATE having my picture taken!
Those are the first words I often hear when a new client arrives at my studio. My response is always "You just haven't met the right photographer yet!"
Trust me...I feel your pain. Having spent a few years in front of the camera as a TV news reporter, I always felt nervous, ill at ease, and super self-conscious. As a result, I wound up where I belong…behind the camera.
If I have one superpower, it’s putting people at ease. Helping them relax, making them feel comfortable, and capturing photos that look natural and unforced is what I’m really good at. Trust me.
As soon as you book your session, you'll receive an email to link with suggestions re: what to wear and what to bring with you so we can photograph you looking your very best. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out before the day of your shoot.
Once you arrive, you’ll select your favorite music. We'll spend a few minutes looking at your wardrobe, discussing any concerns or questions you might have, and getting to know each other a little bit so that you're not walking in and beginning your photo session "cold."
When you’ve changed into your first outfit, I’ll adjust the lighting and camera angle to accentuate your best features. I take a few test photos and I’ll show them to you, and we’ll make any adjustments to your hair and wardrobe if necessary, and shoot another test. Once you’re satisfied, we’ll begin the actual photo session.
Still feeling a little anxious? No worries. I’ll offer suggestions and coach you so that your head position, posture, and facial expression are just right. I’ll show you the images to confirm that you’re completely satisfied, and you can change into another outfit if you like, and we’ll repeat the process.
I’ll make the photo shoot as smooth and enjoyable as possible, and I’m absolutely positive we’ll get some great images that you’ll be proud of, delighted with and help you "Put Your Best Face Forward."

I hate being photographed! Can you help me?
You just haven't met the right photographer...until now! Fear not. Helping you relax is my Super Power! Not only will we capture photos that are natural, unforced, and authentic, but most of my clients even say they had fun!
What should I wear?
Prior to your photo session, we'll advise you regarding what to wear and what to bring with you. If you have questions, just let us know. We want to make sure you're fully prepared. Don't forget to get a good night's sleep.
Will there be a makeup artist?
Our professional hair and makeup artists are carefully vetted and use hypoallergenic products are available for an additional fee.
